Hey, I was there with one of my friend we visited our newly built temple “the Mormons/LDS Cebu Temple” and my deceased Lola came to my mind, she was born 1915 but unfortunately was kidnapped and was brought to manila for money, she was at the age of 12 then, I’m searching for records of her birth, christening, parents but sadly all I have is that what my mother just said when she asked my Lola, that all she ever remembered was their house was at the back of the old house of the Osmeñas, near Cebu port/pier and her family name is Mier or Mer…I’m helpless don’t know where to ask for an answer,,, could you give me any information about the exact location of Osmeñas there? While travelling back at Mactan Airport the taxi driver just mentioned that there are original piers and reclaimed piers..if you have any idea can you please help me?I’m working for my genealogy and I’m in the process of requesting for a microfilm to search for such names, but I don’t know what place must I request,,,,the city and the near city where Osmeñas live way back 1920′s….
I will be very grateful if you would answer my questions…I’m trying to help her soul and her family just by searching and making ordinances for them in our temple…
May God bless you and keep you…
Thanks a lot for your time…
