its really weired my great granmothers life after she had to conceal her real last name from bracamonte to ybanez my grandfather said she had to live a poor life…even though she was a proud woman..she went on to mary twice and concieve to my knowlege about 18 childrene, my grandfather was from her 2nd husband…i remember there was an old photo of her wearing the large intricate filigree gold hoop earrings that were on loan to her from cardinal rosales mother.when she died no one knew her age or her birthdate…only that despite she changed her lastname to ybanez during the spanish war she was the daughter of some guy named severo bracamonte i know nothing else of him or why they had to conceal the last name…i used to think if they really wanted us to forget it they wouldent have gone through so much trouble to remind us the real last name through 5 generations..i wish someone knew something about that…my great grandmother had a brother who was mayor of a small town in cebu called tabugon but even they dont have records of him…and she had to spinster sisters seniora barbara ybanez and i forget the other..my great grams was unlucky with marriage her husbands always died leaving her with many childrene to care for..she she lived a poor life until my grandfather was able to care for her before she died
