Lighthouse in Bagacay Point

Published by Emperor Karl

Built in 1904 at a property designated by Governor-General William Howard Taft at Bagacay Point in the northern town of Lilo-an. It is one of the few remaining lighthouses in the country that serves as an example of American colonial architecture. This lighthouse stands at 72 feet and guides approaching ships as far as 17 miles from the sea. Nearby are the ruins of what seems to be a watchtower or probably an earlier lighthouse.
