Cebu Provincial Capitol

The Cebu Provincial Capitol is the seat of the provincial government of Cebu. It is a neoclassical edifice designed by Architect Juan Arellano and built by Pedro Siochi & Company, Inc. Construction started in 1937 during the incumbency of Governor Sotero Cabahug and finished one year later during the time of Governor Buenaventura Rodriquez.
The capitol building is marked with a central dome and two wings. Beneath the dome, whose interior is painted with sceneries depicting the province and its constituents, is a rotunda with a spacious lobby. Staircases emanating from the main entrance at the ground level lead to this lobby from which are hallways with various rooms occupied by the different offices of the provincial government. Also near the lobby is the entrance to the Social Hall, a ballroom adorned with three large chandeliers and French-style windows draped with red curtains.

Hi! Maayong adlaw Cebu! I just wanted to know if the proposed Cebu megadome is still on its way to rise since we already have the cicc? It’ll be great if the provincial government will still pursue this project no matter where the’re going to build it. It’s a MUST have for Cebu since we are considered as the second capital of the Nation. And for cebu city, it’s the pioneer city of the Philippines. Isn’t that a good reason why build such state of the art facility? Not to mention we are already outdone by other provinces and cities. So make us all proud, not just us cebuanos, but the entire nation. Let’s build the “CEBU MEGADOME”
