His Excellency Archbishop Edward Adams, the diplomatic representative of the Holy See to the Philippines, visited the Cathedral Museum of Cebu yesterday afternoon.

Riding in a dark blue Mercedez sedan, the nuncio arrived with his secretary and several others and was immediately briefed about the history of the museum. The group then went to the Msgr. Virgilio Yap Memorial Chapel where the nuncio was shown the famed Carmen altar made of wood and encased in etched brass. Upstairs, the nuncio was shown the circa 1900s panoramic photo of the Cebu Cathedral area, a photo of Bishop Gorordo in his deathbed, and a portrait of Bishop Thomas Hendrick, the first and only American bishop of Cebu.

The Papal Nuncio was in Cebu recently for the 37th anniversary celebrations of the episcopal ordination of Cebu Archbishop Ricardo Cardinal Vidal.
