NHI Markers installed at the Capitol

Heritage markers from the National Historical Institute (NHI) written both in Cebuano and Tagalog have been installed at the Cebu Provincial Capitol building. The unveiling ceremonies came in relation with the opening of the week long celebrations of the 439th founding anniversary of the province of Cebu.
With the markers in place, the capitol building is now officially recognized as a cultural heritage landmark and is now protected by law thus forbidding any physical alterations without prior consultation and approval from the NHI. It will also enable locals and tourists alike to appreciate and learn something more about the capitol.
