The new Plaza Sugbo

President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo went over to Cebu this week to inaugurate Plaza Sugbo, a newly rehabilitated square that encompasses Cebu City Hall and the Magellan’s Cross park. Hopefully this will set a precedent for more rehabilitation projects in the future that would help in the revitalization of the old district of Cebu City, commonly referred to as “downtown.” Continue Reading »

An unplayable pipe organ at the St. Michael the Archangel Church in Argao, Cebu. This is the most well-preserved pipe organ in Cebu dating back to the Spanish colonial era and is also the second oldest in the country after the pipe organ of the San Agustin Church in Intramuros, Manila.
